BIOCANVAS — CIP System Technical Features

High-efficiency Clean-In-Place (CIP) system based on advanced automation and hygienic design

Key Technical Features

  • High-purity Cleaning Water: Utilizes R/O (Reverse Osmosis) or chemically treated water for internal cleaning of vessels, tanks, and piping, minimizing impurities and microbial contamination.
  • Mobile Configuration: The MOBILE CIP unit is designed for portability, allowing shared use between multiple production lines or pilot systems while maximizing space efficiency.
  • Advanced Control Interface: A 10–15 inch touch HMI communicates with the PLC in real time, enabling intuitive control of pump speed, automatic valve operation, and temperature/pressure monitoring.
  • Recipe-based Cleaning Process: Predefined cleaning sequences (Pre-rinse → Alkaline Wash → Acid Rinse → Final Rinse) ensure reproducible results and reduce cleaning time.
  • Variable-speed Centrifugal Pump: The inverter-controlled pump allows flow and pressure adjustments, automatically optimizing flow rate per cleaning stage to improve energy efficiency.
  • HMI-centered Control: Displays real-time valve, pump, and sensor status, supports manual/automatic mode switching, and provides alarm log functionality.
  • Hygienic Pump Design: The centrifugal pump features a tool-free design for easy disassembly and reassembly. Wetted parts are made of SUS316L for enhanced chemical resistance.
  • Enhanced Drain Efficiency: The CIP tank bottom has a sloped design (>3°) for natural drainage with seamless weld finishing to prevent dead zones.
  • Return Line System: Directly connects to the vessel’s harvest port for closed-loop cleaning circulation, ensuring complete removal of residual contamination.
  • Simultaneous Cleaning Function: During CIP operation, cleaning solution circulates between the tank and vessel, and the spray nozzle inside the CIP tank cleans the interior simultaneously—no additional water supply required.
  • Real-time Data Logging: pH, temperature, flow, and pressure data are recorded via PLC for traceability and cleaning validation documentation.
  • Process Safety Design: Equipped with pressure relief valves and temperature sensors for automatic shutdown and alarm activation in case of overpressure or overheating.
